Well ever since our word wrap, I have had some problems getting the weblink button to show an image. I noticed that most everyone else had not done this either which is why I set out to figure the problem out.

As you can see from this white water rafting in california website, I was able to solve the problem without editing the XSL file. Below is the css involved in creating this weblink image.

First I set out to make the container box, this allows the whole image to be clicked on as a link. Next I floated it right and positioned it so it was centered. I added a clear border (assuming your page has a white background). Next, I through in a non repeating image. And Finally tossed all of the weblink text to the left (so that the search engines still read it).

The Horrible Mondayz

Well it looks like I am on reworks. Doing stuff such as Real Estate Company In Westchester. It isn't bad but it looks like me not showing up on Monday really screwed up my potential for moving up into design.

This is unfortunate because, I have truly been working hard lately for the sole purpose of being noticed enough for a promotion. Not that it is really a promotion.. but it IS something different. And it bothers me that I messed up.

Now as far as me being late on Friday. I have a slew of excuses, none of which matter because in the end I was late.

Along with working 9 hours a day I am also going to school full time (12 credits) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I did not get home on Thursday until Friday morning at 2am, and on top of that I did not get to sleep until 3am. Thus I slept through my alarm clock completely and did not wake up until 9am.

So I messed everything up for myself. Story of my life. What is new?

BLAST! I had a great time, I was going to go with my girlfriend to see my mom, but instead we stayed at home to save a little bit of money. Overall; however, we had a good time relaxing and staying home together.

Today was an... interesting day.. For lack of better words. It seems that now we are submitting not only our websites, but also the original websites. Which makes sense considering, the customers may not have ever submitted their own. BUT we also have to print out source code and validation of websites we never touched. ODD, but oh well. I do what I am told to do.

One thing however, that kind of annoyed me, are these damn page wraps. I hate the way the content looks when it is wrapped around the links. It is just so.... SCRUB.

Either way I made a great looking website I would like to show off for you. It is a doggy website! I love puppies, they are so CUTE! So here I have been messing around with jquery on my off hours, it is one of the best javascript scripting languages on the web right now. I friggen love it. at first the code was daunting, but in reality it is so small, compact, and wonderful! Lately I have been messing with the UI plugin, most notably the ui tabs plugin. It is friggen great.

I finished about three carbon copy pro websites between yesterday and today. That must make me a pro at carbon copying. Federline, our new templating system, had a few hiccups. But all were easily over come with some simple thinking around the box.

Weblink Horrors

Today we switched to Federline, a new and different templating system, which doesn't have too many different things, just that they are all ID's different. Thank you web gods for making my life that much more difficult. Not only did the id tags changed, but a couple new ways of linking, and adding content changed as well.

Most notably the weblink. The weblink is the little deal on the top of our templates that are supposed to entice people to click on them, thus sending them screaming through the internet at blazing fast speeds to end up at our client's website. Such as this great Carbon Copy Website.

So I went ahead and re-coded the skins.xsl file, and restyled the style sheet. It took me a while, and It wasn't fun. But now, it is done.

Today sucked, and it is weird.. I had a better day when I was on 2 hours of sleep. But last night I had 12 hours of sleep, and I just had a bad day. I started a new, and linked it to the same database as a previous new. Altoids are curiously strong. I have had 18 today. That is 5 more than the dangerous number. On top of my 18 Altoids, I ate a bowl of chow mien, and had 4 cups of coffee. Not to mention the 5 cigarettes and one red bull throughout the day. I must say, I am not eating or living healthy. But at the same time, I am curious as to how they get those damned Altoids to be so strong!

This is my test to see whether or not having lyrics in my blog will stick it on top of the Google rankings. Prolly will if i just search for those exact lyrics. So today was a good one. I had a great time last night with my buddy, who cam to vegas for the week. I had been putting off seeing him all week, and finally caved in. Glad I did though, we had a good time. His mom wasted $1600 in one sitting at a slot machine! Damn, that is crazy. One months rent + car insurance payment + food.. gone in 30 minutes.

I worked on a couple sites today that I would like to share with you. First being this photography website, I showed this before but I fixed it up a little better so it is worth looking at again. Looks like people are moving around in the work place, people are moving up and to the side and some, like me are staying still. I was told that a review would take place after 90 days, I can only hope that if I keep working hard.. that my review will pay off. Make some extra bank and move up, or to the side whichever is fine.. I am just tired of content writing the same websites over and over again.

Either way I am content with my job and enjoy coming to work every day. The people are nice and I can't complain about working on a computer, instead of say.. on a farm picking strawberries. Sorry Edwardo.

Awesome Online Website

What an awesome name for a program. I can’t stop saying it in different accents. Oh joy!

I had my first flirt with squidoo today. It was pretty cool, grabbed rss feeds from my blog, and was very simple to use. They also have this program for frequent users, you get this giant star next to your name. And, since we are not making new accounts each time, I will be able to submit all of my website to squidoo! So I too can become a big cheese. The first site I made was pretty cool, it is a website showing you how to get rich quickly! You can see my squidoo lens here! Check it out, it is very cool looking!

Toosday

Tooday is Toosday, dah Terrible Toosday. But today was not that terrible, life goes on, goes on life. Vice Versa, etc etc.

In english: I had a great day, nothing too bad, nothing too great. I worked on a couple websites that I would like to share with you. First is a great photography website, that is advertsing First Page Google Placements. Second is another good website that took me awhile to do. First I deleted all of the content, then I deleted the CSS file. It shoulda taken me 15 minutes, but it took me all day hah. It is another great way to get rich quick. I love those website they are so informative! If only I could leave my job for an MLM, I just don't have the guts for it. But this site... This site.. almost made me have a change of heart!

Somebody has got a case of the Mondays

Well today was wonderful. Woke up with a half drunken stupor, although no alcohol was involved. The only thing going on was waking up so early. Waking up early on a Monday sucks, I hate it.

Although Mondays suck, I still got a lot of work done. And in the end I woke up around 2pm. Woke up to find that I did a lot of work. Cannot beat that with a stick! haha. Anyways one of the websites I made today was a great money making business Idea, I enjoyed working on the site and I think it looks really great.

Mortgage Companies

So I wrote a bunch of content for this mortgage company today, which kind of got me thinking about mortgages, first off what a weird way to spell the word. Secondly, if you cant afford something don't buy it. Thirdly, candy bars like twix are really good. Fourth, I am tired.

We are now submitted answers to questions on yahoo answers, supposedly since our links are tied to our account, when we answer questions we will be putting ourselves up on the web. This will help boos web page links. I answered a few questions for people, however I don't think anyone really appreciated the help. Oh Well, I made a great website today. It is a photography wedding site based in Florida, the site was all in flash so I am not sure how the rankings will do.

I was minding my own business, transferring some website over to our new Federline system when Steve told me that Kathy enjoyed one of the websites I worked on. It was a good website about floral designs in Alberta, and I did enjoy working on it. I didn't think I would get recognition for it, considering all of the other websites I have worked on that must have look 100x better. Oh well, I guess she like it because it was pink. Either way I am not going to argue, she is the boss.. The one who signs the Checks.

So, I was working on transfering servers today, when I found out that the server I was trasnfering form went down. Hoo Hah, what a bummer. I was going to start working on a New site, but unfortunately it would never work bcause our server is down. Oh well. I worked on a fairly nice website today it is a great program that will let you make alot of money fast in Alberta, Canada.

Sleep

I had none last night, it made for an interesting day. I fell asleep once at the keyboard and once at the mouse. I woke up gripping the mouse and typing /party into the text for the content I was writing. Can't imagine what I was dreaming that would make me write that. The fact that I was able to type while sleeping is fairly scary o.O.

On the other hand I snapped out of my slump right around 10am and made some pretty decent websites. One is for a Canadian Floral Company. It is a great looking site, and I am very proud of it.

The Dell Dude

Most people think that the Dell Dude, widely recognized for his appearance on the Dell commercials, had his contract with Dell terminated because of his arrest in New York city while buying small bag of pot. Interestingly enough, this was not the case. Dell did not terminate him for this reason, in fact Dell had already started phasing him out of the commercials, by bringing in calmer office-type employees. These employees brought the tone of Dell up to a more professional look.

So there you have it, the Dell dude wasn't cut off for smoking herbs, but instead they decided he stunk long before that. In my honest opinion: Good Riddance.

I designed a couple of websites today, one was a unique website centering around videography. It is all about videographers recording weddings in Indianapolis.

War of the Worlds

In the 1930's the radio was a comforting friend in troubling times. Families would gather around the radio for an escape from the misery of the Great Depression. They tuned in to baseball and football games. They listened to heroes like Superman, the Lone Ranger, and Captain Midnight. They shared a laugh with Jack Benny, Bob Hope, and Fred Allen. They enjoyed the occasional chill from Lights Out, Inner Sanctum, and The Shadow.

Radio listeners tuned in for news of economic recovery. They listened with concern as the Nazi party rose to power in Europe. They took comfort in FDR's fireside chats. Radio was a friend, a beacon of hope, a voice they could trust.

That trust was forever shattered on October 30, 1938.

The Mercury Radio Theatre was still a fairly new program, and its enigmatic leader still largely unknown, despite his dual role as Lamont Cranston and The Shadow. Not many people heard or heeded the opening of the evening's broadcast, so when the news reports began describing small explosions on the planet Mars, the landing of a meteorite in Grover's Mill, New Jersey, and the appearance of hideous Martians with their death rays, America went into a panic.

Few radio programs have left the impact that "The War of the Worlds" had on its time. People abandoned their homes and fled in fear of the fictitious Martian warships. Some even took their own lives. CBS found itself subject to hundreds of lawsuits. And Orson Welles, a distant descendant of the story's original author H.G. Wells, became a legend.

Content Writing

This has been the trend today, and on Friday. I feel bogged down by it, essentially writing the same thing over and over. I am trying to be unique in what I write, but it just doesn't always work for me. I have a good technique writing keywords into my content, namely writing up the keywords into a notepad, then typing a little bit of unique text into the content surrounded by more text and plop the keyword in where it makes sense. An example of some of the content that I have wrote is found on this high ranked website I did earlier today.

Interesting Week

As you may know, I am moving out of my condo, and away from my roommates, this weekend to live with my girlfriend elsewhere. This has been fairly stressful on me, and it may be showing in my work. I have been dragging through work and I don't think I have been doing a very good job. I have been kind of going through the motions, and every new document I get is looking like mountains of work.

I really need to take my head out of my butt and just find start working, eventually the stacks of work will go away. I really need to not think about what is around the corner, and just start tackling what I have in front of me head on.

I did work on a really nice website today it is a manicure website, which reminds me.. I should do something nice for my girlfriend and take her to a nice hair and nails place.

Good Times

Life is good, I am moving out in a few days. It will be an interesting move, but all for the better. An opportunity to save money, and better my life. However, this move will be cause for strain on mine and my girlfriends relationship. I will clarify by saying that it won't be a break but it will be a strain.

Either way I have been working on a great website and I thought I would let you in on it. No it is not another get rich quick website. But I did put a lot of time into it. This website instructs you on how to make money by starting your own business. It is one of my favorites!

Thinkin' Bout Monday

I hate Mondays. That is all I am thinking about.

On the upside I like getting paid. And I like going to work. But that doesn't change the fact that I hate Mondays. I could have a 6 days weekend, where Monday lands on the second day of this weekend. I would still hate it. Monday has a bad ring to it. The way it rolls off of the tongue. What is possible good about Monday. Soap Operas? I think not. No one else is happy. Going to the store is semi-depressing. Over all Mondays suck. I did make a great website today. Which is ironic because it is monday.
